Two men bailed out of a B-52 jet bomber and three crewmen in a KC-97 four engine, propeller-driven tanker were slightly injured in the collision that occurred dur- ing what the air force described as. a refueling malfunction.
A ground search was immediately begun for the two men who jumped. They were as Capt. William B. Harris, the student aircraft commander, and Lt. David B.
Morris, of Osso, the navigator. The bomber landed at Westover air force base, Chicopee, the tanker at Dow air force base near Bangor, Me. Lt. Ralph O. Clemens of Chicago was a member of the B-52 crew.
