If you're someone who enjoys snacking while watching a movie, you might want to avoid the 4DX format, as eatables are not allowed. This format is designed for adventure seekers – combining movie experience with an amusem*nt park ride.

With the smaller format, if a movie wasn't filmed with IMAX cameras, RPX is going to be better. IMAX is not capable of 7.1 sound, considering the only surround speakers are in the back corner. Screen size difference is only one foot. Also, the "liemax" thing is not accurate.

As such, IMAX, ScreenX, and Dolby Cinema are your premium choices. If you're not sure which, I'd always default to IMAX, but ScreenX is the format that makes me intrigued to go check out the movie again for that additional width – especially if the director himself has given it the nod.
